A&W Root Beer Zero Sugar 355ml x 12 Cans
The taste of A&W Root Beer is unique and not comparable to other soft drinks. The subtle taste comes from root extracts of the female sassafras tree, which is native to parts of North America and eastern Asia. In addition, the drink contains various other ingredients, for example vanilla extracts, nutmeg and licorice. This typical American soft drink is extremely popular in America. The diet version contains the same full flavor of root beer, without the calories.

I wanted to try a new sugar free pop today. This literally almost tastes like the regular version. It doesn't have the gross sugar free after taste that some things have. I think this is my new go to.

AW Root Beer Diet is often praised for providing a diet-friendly option with the classic root beer flavor. highlight its satisfying taste with fewer calories than regular root beer. appreciate its sweetness and carbonation, making it a popular choice for those seeking a low-calorie or diet beverage without sacrificing flavor.

These are rarely available, whether they say they are in stock or not. Several times I order other stuff only because I’m ordering this and snap, the thing I really wanted is the one they don’t have. Doh. This is not a bad review of the product, just their ability to get it. Don’t show it in stock if you don’t have it.

It is clear that Zero Calorie is different from, and in my opinion inferior to, its predecessor, A&W Diet Root Beer. The new version is not bad, and I will drink it; but over time I expect the amount I buy and drink to diminish because it is not as good. The biggest difference is in the finish, though the boldness of the overall taste and the carbonation and sweetness levels also seem to have been tweaked. The pleasant vanilla finish is gone, replaced by one that is metallic and has a touch of toothpaste-like faux mint. I doubt that it is a coincidence that the new packaging does not state “made with aged vanilla,” as the Diet Root Beer cans, bottles and cartons proudly proclaimed.I know there are apologists/publicists claiming that this is just a rebranding and ... MoreIt is clear that Zero Calorie is different from, and in my opinion inferior to, its predecessor, A&W Diet Root Beer. That strikes me as disingenuous. While the ingredients list has not changed, when comparing the two versions side by side it is obvious that there has been a change within one all-important listed ingredient: the “natural and artificial flavors.” I hope the owners of the A&W brand will see fit to either change it back or to reintroduce the original Diet version as an alternative.
Product is excellent. Root beer flavor perfection. Sugar free. Caffeine free. Who could ask for anything more. Purchased this because Walmart was out of my favorite caffeine free Diet Coke. Had forgotten how good A&W root beer was. Pleasant surprise. But caffeine free Diet Coke seems to have more carbonation (fizz). Nevertheless, A&W diet root beer is awesome
There is too much carbonation in this drink. The taste is great but is much better after some of the carbonation is reduced by shaking the bottle...I do that all the time. I drink a lot of this product in the plastic bottles but shake if first before drinking.
Zero sugar = zero taste! At least regular diet had some flavor. I could get this by going to a pop dispenser at the gas station when the syrup is almost out. At least zero sugar sprite has some flavor to it.
The A&W Zero sugar tastes quite like the original. Not quite as good but really close. It has all the flavors from the birch root that makes A&W distinct but without the added sugar, which is a huge bonus. I drank this out of a mug with ice, in case that is helpful. Tasty and refreshing. In case any adult enthusiasts were curious, after writing the first part of this review, I added a bit of dark rum to see how it is as a mixer. I approve of this choice. Cheers!
Having received the A&W Zero Sugar Root Beer soda to try was exciting. I love root beer and was hoping I found a new way to enjoy it without the guilt. So, when I received my can I quickly looked at the ingredients to see what made this sugar-free. I was immediately disappointed to see that they had used Aspartame to sweeten the root beer. I wish they would have gone with a different sweetener like Sucralose. Aspartame gives me migraines so I decided to drink a small amount so that I could at least try the soda. I chilled the the soda and waited a few hours. I then poured about a third of the can into a glass and proceeded to drink the soda. I definitely could taste the fake sugar but that is pretty common in sugar-free drinks. I loved it! I would recommend this to anyone not adverse to Aspartame.I would definitely purchase this if it wasn't for the Aspartame!
its perfect for me since i love the taste of root beer. also root beer being normaly caffeine free this one being no diffrent. i take meds that make it so i cant have a lot of caffeine in a day. and on top of that being zero sugar. my thing is its very difficult to find soda thats both zero sugar and caffeine free. i have been the diet caffeine free Pepsi but that altered my taste quite significantly i did get it back once i stopped drinking it. this root beer doesnt have that effect on me. its genuinely perfect.
