This Charger totally functions as a Charger. I'm also incredibly surprised to see this device charging my laptop. If your looking for an Apple laptop charger, I highly recommend purchasing an Apple laptop charger. I also consider myself to be an expert as I have owned an Apple laptop charger for several years and have used it almost daily during that period.

If you have experienced the difference in charging your phone with a standard versus a fast charger, this is similar. Has more juice to power up your new Macbook Pro, so don't skimp. Also of note: This charger is more of a rectangle that my old Macbook's square charger, so thankfully that helps me pick them out easily in my bag.
Just a reminder, you also need to buy an appropriate USB-C cable which is not included if your looking for an entire replacment. Otherwise this charger is great. 96watts is more than anyone would need for the quickest charge your device coupd handle.
Never before did I need to replace a MacBook Pro's adapter for overheating or periodic dysfunction. While this adapter works very well, the original one I receive should never have gone bad. I've learned to question the quality of all things Mac-related since 2019. Apple needs to move its production operations to other countries whose leadership isn't against USA.
New. Original. Sold at expected retail price. Exactly like the original. (I finally found the missing one and now have 2. That’s great for me. )It was extremely convenient to be able to pick this up at 1030pm so I could work in the morning. No work = no pay — so I needed it immediately. Thank you, Walmart!
So far, have been really happy with this item. Previous power cord has stopped working (it had a black box between AC plug in cord and the cord from the box to the laptop). Had to return the item to the manufacturer for replacement. Was never happy with the 2 part cord. Manufacturer did replace cord so will have to keep as a possible backup power cord. Very happy with the one piece power cord.

I needed a second one after some months of work-at-home, so that I didn't need to disassemble my work space when I was on the move with my notebook.It's great that Best Buy had it in stock and ready for me in 30 min, as the Apple Stores had not yet reopened.There is one bad part of this buy though. It doesn't appear that you can purchase the USB-C power cable that came with my MBP and still comes with the new 16" model. The original cable was thick with plastic strain relief on the ends. Product works great got it in an emergency when my charger gave out. Paid full price for a brand new power adapter but received an open box one and didn’t see that until I got home. I attached some pics so you can see the adapter has dirt and dust on it. Make sure your item is correct and packed properly(unless you specifically wanted open box) if you’re doing a pickup order.
