The iPad Pro 5th Generation excels with its M1 chip, offering laptop-level performance in a sleek, portable design. The stunning Liquid Retina XDR display delivers exceptional brightness and color accuracy, ideal for creative work. The addition of 5G connectivity and Thunderbolt support enhances its versatility. However, the high price and reliance on accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil to unlock its full potential can be limiting. While it’s an impressive tool for professionals and creatives, those seeking a more traditional laptop experience might find the iPad Pro less practical for everyday tasks.

The pen worked fine when you were just wanting to draw or something but the interactions with the operating system in pen mode were just not well thought out or intuitive. Video Software options were lacking. Ipad pro Pros: Screen, Keyboard, Camera are top of the line and a pleasure to use. Battery life is pretty decent...no fear leaving home without a cord but even then...it's just a usbC. Pen experience is worlds better than the one on the surface pro as far as interaction with the OS. Can use it with my drone as a large screen when taking videos. Free video editing options are functional and intuitive. M1 Processor is more than fast enough for video/photo editing. New File browser is actually not half bad...most of the functionality of windows explorer. You can connect sd/usb drives directly with a usbC adapter and navigate them as an attached drive. Some great software options in the app store. More seamless with my iphone. Ipad Pro Cons: Weird screen form factor...not a typical 16x9. Using some software is not great...I use a lot of spreadsheets and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the functionality I need. Google sheets doesn't work on chrome...need to use safari as the "sheets" app is pretty limited. Still working through the best ways to use alternate file sharing platforms and have them just work. Pen needs a holder on the magic keyboard. Did I mention how expensive it is? Glad I got a decent deal on Ebay. All in all I think this will more than suffice for my daily driver for a long time to come.

Powerful device replacing laptop with additional touchscreen
8 July 2022

I bought this from John Lewis Reading to replace my ageing MacBook air but also for the touchscreen so that I could try some digital drawing and painting. I bought the apple pencil for it. I bought the magic keyboard too as I touch type and enjoy that feature.Overall the kit weight is similar to a MacBook Air. It doesn't open as easily a laptop as there is no recess to put ones finger. It only has one input socket, a usb-c, but with a hub added I can use external ssd drives, earphones, image cards etc.The screen quality is great, the speed of processing is great and my apps and data transferred easily from my older machine, including passwords and other security sensitive data making it easy to carry on where the older machine left off.The iPad interface is ... MoreI bought this from John Lewis Reading to replace my ageing MacBook air but also for the touchscreen so that I could try some digital drawing and painting. I need to use it a lot to get quality and facility as there is so much to learn. If it wasn't for the desire to explore digital drawing and painting I would have bought another laptop and if any apple laptops came with a touchscreen I would revert to using them in the future. As I bought the 12.9" screen this is not a highly portable device and it is relatively heavy to use for book reading. Nevertheless I do read with it using the magic keyboard to prop the iPad open on a sofa arm.Though expensive, I'm glad I bought this iPad, it's a great tool for creativity and I look forward to years of usefulness and pleasure.

Very please with this item, also consider the price to be very reasonable. Having an iPad Pro before the 10.5 this was ok apart from the fact that the storage was nearly full due to the internal capacity. Up grading to the iPad pro 12.9 with 2TB storage has made it perfect as a general tool as well as a study as used for. Would recommend to anyone who is serious especially about research & studying to invest in especially with such with a faster processor & large storage.

I ordered a fifth generation, iPad Pro, 256 gig. I received a fourth generation pro one terabyte storage. It was in excellent condition. The battery was behaving oddly. It would drop 5% or so just sitting there for an hour not using it. it seemed to stabilize after using it for a few days. I felt the battery did not last as long as I thought it would with the amount of use that I had with it. Shipping was great. I ended up returning it for fear of the battery condition.

[Rewarded Review] Great for the price
22 February 2024

Like everyone else i was skeptical about my purchase, since it wasn’t from apple. But upon delievry of the ipad, it cane in pretty good cosmetic condition. There were 2 scratches on the screen with no other blemishes around the body. I put a screen protector on right away and the scratches are almost non exsistent. The biggest complaint i have is the battery health, it came in at 90%. Ill have to get a new battery somehwere down the line. But not a huge deal i suppose. Overall im happy with the purchase and im glad i took the chance on it.

Had a few scratches on the screen. At least they were in the corners or I would have sent it back. Ya I know I bought it refurbished but of all things the screen should not be scratched. They probably thought since it was just two corners no big deal. But still lam to sell it like this. Only option is to return it and try again but no guarantee the next one will not be worse. So mind as will keep this one. I am sure that is who ever decided to send this one of was hoping. Someone not so lazy would for sure send it back. Just suck they would deem this condition worthy to sell.

I was a little hesitant at first as 'refurbished' usually gets a bad name. I decided to give it a try, and could always use the return policy if i didn't like it.- I purchased this online, and had it shipped to my local store.- I received notice that it was ready for pickup a day earlier than what I was told (which was nice as it was on a Friday).- Upon inspection, the only imperfection I noticed was a small blemish on the lower left corner of the screen next to the bezel. This is not noticeable while using. The housing, and cameras were all scratch free.- Using Battery Stats, Battery health capacity was at 95%- Original box/charger were not included, but it did come with an Insignia 30W USB-C Compact Wall Charger, and Insignia 7ft USB-C Cable which is ... MoreI was a little hesitant at first as 'refurbished' usually gets a bad name.
