A fun set to put together, not too many repetitive steps. The end product is entertaining, and aesthetically pleasing. The set is well thought out, and the parts fold up or store nicely. The collection of minifigs that come with the set are nice and diverse, and somewhat comical. Due to the nature of the moving parts, the actual ride is a bit flimsy in spots. I found that two hands (one on the crank and one of the gearbox) worked best in stabilizing the movement of the ride; because of this I would recommend fixing the crank/gearbox to a base. The Mixer would be a nice addition to any town! The ride is very colorful, and pops out. The glow in the dark parts make for a neat nighttime effect.

The fairground Mixer is very amazingly designed for a set with under 2000 pieces. This build was really fun and I really liked the finished product. The two trucks were very well designed, to store more things, and they to use very useful pices. I love the blue truck on how it could put the "strongman" inside the bottom of the truck.I love the dunk tank, but I sometimes dosen't work well. The ticket stand design was pretty neat, but I like the "strongman" over all booths. The mixer is REALLY big. So big that the truck is really hard to turn. The mixer is a little bit annoying to set up, but the rotating works REALLY well, and It's really fun to spin. How the mixer fits onto a truck is a really amazing feature. There is a lot to play with in this set, but every set has it's flaws. I don't like how the dunk tank's target is still poking out from the side of the truck. There should be a way to fold that up. I also don't like how they stuck on the wheels. They get really lose when you move the truck around, and sometimes they fall off. They should put something to secure it like the MINI Copper.Over all, I liked the set. It was really amazing, and I would strongly recomend it to Lego fans out there. Enjoy!

What a fun build this was, and the result is breath-taking! I'm not very used to building with technic parts, so that was a bit challenging for me personally. The detail of this Lego set is astonishing and there's an abundance of minifigures to go with it. Three of the minifigures have two faces, which was a really happy surprise for me. I just love the glow-in-the-dark pieces and I wish there had been more than one extra of those round flat plates, so that I could've lit up some of my other Lego sets. The only problem I have with this set is its sheer size. Hard To Find But Worth It

If you ever come across this retired set online, at stores, or garage sales, pick it up! It's a fun set to build, and definitely captures the feel of a fairground attraction. The fencing, attraction stalls, and characters fit in greatly with the fairground theme, and present great in any display.By and far the coolest part is that everything packs up onto the two trucks, which really adds to the theme well. The pack/unpack process is very simple and quick, and adds a fun element to play with this set.

We had a blast building this set, and my two girls (5 and 7) LOVE playing with it. The fairground never stays in one place for very long!My comments echo all those that came before me. The thought and detail that went into each component was astounding. The parts move smoothly, all the workers fit in their vehicles, no parts are left behind when the fairground packs up to move on to a new location, the carnival games actually work, the Mixer ride itself is a genius blend of colors, standard parts, and Technic. I would love to see more of this!If I had to nitpick anything (and that's honestly tough to do on this set), it's that the lights that go on the red pieces were orange, and that the glow in the dark pieces aren't bright enough. I do hope that Lego continues adding to the "Lego Amusements" theme. There's so much potential - Rides! Games! Food Vendors!! I want more!!!

Wow, I love the cute details in this set! Somebody had a very fun time designing this adorable set! Everything packs into the 2 trucks and fits very tidily in! Some people say the target from the dunk tank sticks out of the truck, they did not follow the instructions. The target from the dunk tank goes inside the ticket booth on the truck! Overall it is very cute and I think it goes well with my other Lego city stuff! Lego, you need to make more carnival stuff, just think about all the possibilities! You can use the rechargeable battery box so you never have to use batteries! see my product recommendations!

The Fairground Mixer set is incredible! I hope this is only the beginning for carnival / amusement park rides. The fun never ends with this set! The carnival games are a blast and completely functional. The dunk tank actually dunks when you hit the bullseye, the hammer actually hits the mark, testing your minifigure's strength. And the mixer itself is incredible! The fact that it actually moves like the "Scrambler" type rides you see at State Fairs is so much fun! I especially love the detail on the face of the minifigure who looks like he is going to lose his lunch. Also, I had hoped that the minifigure on stilts legs were constructed like President Business' legs are (as in the stilts are actually connected to the minifigure's legs instead of just long bricks that fall off over and over).Overall it is a great set and well worth it! There are hours of fun to be had with this set and I would highly recommend this set to everyone!

First off this was a fun build. It was interesting to see how everything fit together and how the various pieces fit and created fairly realistic structures. It does fold up to move it to the next place and all the things that are suppose to move do so freely. There are lots of mini figures both workers and visitors. What I really like is that all of the workers can fit into the two trucks and no one has to ride on the back, provided they don’t need to be comfortable, the blue truck is a bit of a squeeze and someone has to stay in the bed. Also I like the queasy guy, one side is him looking not to good, the other, is he had better find a garbage bin or something. For the red arm, there are orange lights; I would think they should have been red. Also the fence should maybe have white caps on top. It would give it a more polished look. Despite there being rides and games, there are no food vendors. However, combining this with the winter market from last year would take care of that. The one other thing I am not sure about is that the small wheels on the mixer are down when the ride is supposed to be stationary, but up when it is being moved. I would think this should be the opposite. Having them down could cause the ride to move when it shouldn’t. I have not had a chance to fix it yet. It’s a good stand alone set, but will also be right at home within a cityscape.

I love this set so much. When I was growing up I always wanted to build a fair ride, each attempt I made had my minifigs flung off into oblivion. The designers thought about mostly everything with this, including how to integrate power functions. I do have one little mishap with the set I always dislike and that is when I fold it up, it seems to bend the axle pin, especially when you don't have the ride arms in the right position when folding it up. Other than that I love this set. I like that it packs away like a real ride does.I look forward to 2015 when the new Ferris Wheel comes out, I hope that set will be similar to this set. Please make this an annual release of new rides, absolutely love this! If I have to list any negative aspects of this set, it would be the stickers. I hate stickers, although there are not too many, so that's a plus. As far as everything else goes, this set is AMAZING. The build took about 4 hours and was not overly complicated. The instructions were highly detailed and easy to follow, and everything came together quite easily, even the Technic parts that drive the mixer. First off, the games actually work! The dunk tank drops the young lady in when the bullseye is hit and you can actually hit the Test of Strength game with the hammers and send the chuck to the top! Seriously, this blew my mind. I had no clue from the descriptions that the games functioned. The Mixer itself, is just as mind-blowing. It looks fantastic and spins easily and smoothly. The glow-in-the-dark bits are okay, but they don't really light it up in the dark. In a way, they seem like they were thrown in last minute, but I definitely don't hold it against the set. The Mixer, too, folds up easily and hooks onto the back of the semi truck, ready to travel to the next LEGO town. I absolutely love this set and my kids do too, especially the look on the face of the guy about to throw up! I hope, like the winter sets, this becomes a tradition.
